International Health Insurance
Also called International Major Medical Insurance,
or Expatriate Health Insurance.
What is International Health Insurance
- International Health Insurance is annually renewable medical insurance that is valid all over the world. Wherever you travel, you will be covered.
- It is appropriate for expatriates and their families, employees working abroad on assignment, or anyone else who needs an annually renewable internationally-valid plan to serve as their primary medical insurance.
- Annually renewable plans have higher maximum policy coverage levels (up to US$5 million).
- Annually renewable plans also have more comprehensive types of coverage (life insurance, higher limits of accidental death and dismemberment, and daily indemnity for hospitalization can be added to coverage for additional premiums).
- Some plans will cover you in the United States and Canada as well as the rest of the world. Eligibility typically depends on your country of citizenship or country of primary residence.
- Some plans exclude pre-existing conditions until you have been insured with the plan for a certain period of time. Some plans cover pre-existing conditions if you are currently insured by a US health plan that provides "creditable coverage." Other plans exclude pre-existing conditions regardless.
- Available for instant online quoting and purchasing.
